Before starting, gather all necessary tools and components. Ensure your power supply unit (PSU) is compatible with your components. Turn off your PC and unplug it from the power source. It’s also helpful to have cable ties or Velcro strips for managing excess cables.

Understanding the Power Supply Cables

The main cables you’ll need include:

  • 24-pin ATX cable: Powers the motherboard.
  • 8-pin CPU cable: Powers the processor.

Wiring the Power Supply in the Nzxt H9 Elite

Step 1: Connect the 24-pin Motherboard Cable

Locate the 24-pin cable from your PSU. Connect it to the motherboard’s 24-pin socket, which is typically on the right side of the motherboard. Route the cable along the edge of the case to keep it tidy.

Step 2: Connect the CPU Power Cable

Attach the 8-pin CPU power cable to the CPU power socket near the processor. Use the designated cable to avoid confusion with other connectors. Route the cable along the case’s back panel for a clean look.
