  • Gather all necessary tools: thermal paste, CPU cooler, lint-free cloth or coffee filter, rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol), and gloves if desired.

  • Turn off the computer and unplug all power sources.
  • Discharge static electricity by touching a grounded metal object or using an anti-static wrist strap.
