If you’re experiencing Wi-Fi connection issues with your Lockly Secure Pro, don’t worry. Many connection problems are fixable with some simple troubleshooting steps. This guide will help you restore your device’s Wi-Fi connectivity efficiently.
Check Your Wi-Fi Network
The first step is to ensure your Wi-Fi network is functioning properly. Verify that other devices can connect to the same network without issues. If they cannot, the problem likely lies with your router or internet service provider.
Restart Your Router and Modem
Power cycling your router and modem can resolve many connectivity problems. Unplug both devices from power, wait for 30 seconds, then plug them back in. Wait until the lights stabilize before testing your Lockly device again.
Ensure Lockly Secure Pro is Within Range
Make sure your device is within the Wi-Fi range of your router. Walls, furniture, and other electronic devices can interfere with signal strength. Move the device closer if necessary and see if the connection improves.
Update Firmware and App
Outdated firmware or app versions can cause connectivity issues. Check for firmware updates through the Lockly app, and ensure your smartphone app is up to date in the app store.
Reconfigure Wi-Fi Settings
Remove the device from your Wi-Fi network and then reconnect it. In the Lockly app, go to device settings, select Wi-Fi, and re-enter your network credentials carefully. Ensure you are using the correct network name (SSID) and password.
Reset Network Settings on Lockly Secure Pro
If issues persist, perform a factory reset of your Lockly Secure Pro. Locate the reset button on the device, press and hold it for about 10 seconds until the device restarts. Reconfigure the device from scratch and reconnect to Wi-Fi.
Contact Support
If none of the above steps resolve your Wi-Fi connection issues, contact Lockly customer support for further assistance. Provide details about your network setup and troubleshooting steps you’ve already tried to expedite the process.
