Setting up a custom SSID and password on your Linksys Hydra 6 router allows you to personalize your wireless network and enhance its security. Follow these simple steps to configure your network settings.
Access the Router’s Web Interface
Open a web browser on a device connected to your network. Enter the default IP address of the Linksys Hydra 6, usually 192.168.1.1, into the address bar and press Enter. Log in using your administrator credentials. If you haven’t changed them, the default username and password are typically admin.
Navigate to Wireless Settings
Once logged in, locate the Wireless or Wi-Fi section in the router’s dashboard. This section contains the settings for your SSID and wireless security.
Change the SSID (Network Name)

Reconnect Devices
Once the router restarts, reconnect your wireless devices using the new network name and password. Ensure that your devices recognize the new SSID and prompt for the updated password if needed.
